FTC - Flying Tin Cans

I'm new to IL2, but I'm coming over from DCS, where I have more experience.
That said, I mostly flew jets, as WWII is not very popular/populated in DCS. I have just a few hours of flying in IL2, but I am familiar with the basics of the game, basics of flying, aircraft characteristics, etc.
Right now, I mostly struggle with game sense, SA, and spotting in VR.

I'm looking to join some missions and be attached to someone who knows what they're doing to learn how to fly better.
I own Normandy and Boden.

I'm up for the campaign event (I've done something like this once in DCS), as well as just to team up with someone for public multiplayer.

Right now I'm in ET timezone, UTC -4.
